About Us

About Us

At Nichols Education, we want all children and young people to enjoy their experience in education and develop a strong understanding of the world in which we live, regardless of their background.

Our Vision

Our vision is that all young people will have access to the support they need to enjoy, achieve and be inspired throughout their educational career.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide specialist educational services to schools that they may not otherwise be able to offer.

Why can’t schools offer these services themselves?

Our programmes are designed and lead by experienced professionals that schools might only need for a few days or weeks per year. We also recruit, train and work with psychotherapy trainees to deliver our programmes and have the greatest impact. Teachers are under increasing pressure to raise standards – we want to enable teachers to get on with what they do best by providing the specialist services that they are not primarily trained to deliver.

Why work with us?

We are a non-profit social enterprise.

All of our revenue goes back into providing our services, researching their impact and improving what we do.

Experienced professionals.

Our lead psychotherapist has over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of clients and issues.

We do not target one narrow group of students.

We believe that what we do is of benefit to all young people from any background and particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are most at risk.

We have experience of working in mainstream education.

One of our co-founders is a former Teach First teacher and has already helped to run a successful educational social enterprise in the past.

Our services are designed on the basis of the latest educational research.

Our programmes are based on a wide range of evidence and guidance provided by the Department for Education, The Sutton Trust – Education Endowment Foundation and others.
